Adriana works as Legal and Policy Director at Rights Watch (UK). Prior to joining RW(UK), Adriana was a Legal Officer at Privacy International. There she produced PI’s litigation strategy for bringing companies that sell surveillance technology to repressive states to account and also worked on a number of cases and investigations in the field of national security and human rights law.
She previously practised as a Lawyer at Public Interest Lawyers (PIL), where she worked on a range of public law and human rights litigation, including a number of cases before the UK Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights concerning the conduct of British Forces during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Adriana has also previously worked as a Research Assistant at Sydney University Law School, for barristers at Doughty Street Chambers, in the Legal Protection Unit of UNHCR, and for an Australian Senator.
Adriana has a BA and LLB with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney and a Masters in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies from the Australian National University with High Distinction.
